People of all age group, visit parks for mental peace, physical activity, jogging, picnic, to spend nice times with friends. Kids also visit frequently parks with their family for outdoor games.
Here is my top 5 list, with my own experience.
1. Indra Gandhi Park.
Indira Gandhi Park is one of the most famous parks in bhubaneswar. It covers a huge area which is more then 10.6 acres.
In this park the late prime minister Mrs Indra Gandhi delivered her last historical speech on 30th october, 1984.
The park has open gym largest Jogging track, musical light foundation, water show, separate children’s playground.
- Open hours: 9am to 9pm
- Location: Ashok Nagar near AG square bhubaneswar 751001.
- Ticket price: Free.
2. Forest park.
Forest park is now known as Biju Patnaik Park, which is dedicated to Biju Patnaik, the former chief minister of odisha.
It spread over an area of 7 acres.Most people come to this park for physical activity or fitness freak.`
The park has boating facility which attract people to visit here,especially for children boating acts as a fun & exciting event in parks, it added value to this park.
- Open time: 4am-12pm, 3pm-9pm.
- Location: Forest park, Bhubaneswar, Odisha 751009.

3. Jaydev Vatika Park.
Jaydev vatika is one of the best parks in Bhubaneswar, It is situated near Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves.
The newly built park has two artificial waterfalls, artificial pool and it has many picnic spots.
This park has a variety of medicinal plants and rose garden, To spend couples of hours jaydev vatika is the delightful and enjoyable place for family couples and other group of people.
- Open time: 8am to 6pm.
- Location: Khandagiri, bhubaneswar 751030.

4. Nandankanan Zoological Park.
Nandankana Zoological Park was established in 1960 and often that categorized under National park of India. It is situated 17km distance from Bhubaneswar.
Nandankanan zoological park is the top most park of bhubaneswar and the center point of tourist attraction.
In 2009 it became the first zoo in India to join WAZA.(world association of zoos and aquariums).
This park is spread over the 1080acre in bhubaneswar. this park includes Kanjia lake of about 134 acre. This park is famous for white tiger a royal bengal tiger.
It is the most natural habitat for animals and plants, most of the tourists pay visit the famous Nandankanan Zoological Park.
- Open time: 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday closed.
- Visiting time: All seasons.
- Location: Nandankanan road, near pollice station, baranga Bhubaneswar Odisha 754005.
- How to reach: Bus and Cab well connectivity from bhubaneswar .

5. Madhusudan park.
Madhusudan Park is the most beautiful park which is situated at Pokhariput near Airport bhubaneswar.
The unique part of this park has separate skating ground, separate children play ground and for yoga and meditation place, it has also an open gym , jogging track.
It has many palm trees which added the beauty of the park, family , kids, couples senior citizen every age group can visit and enjoy the pollution free environment and natural beauty of the park.

- Location: Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar ,Odisha 751020
- Ticket price: Free
