Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan [SOA] was granted, greater autonomy by the UGC in 2018 and it is a Deemed-to-be-University. ITER is one of the nine constituent institutes, which come under SOA. Some of the other faculties include Faculty of Management Sciences [IBCS], Faculty of Dental Sciences [IDS], Faculty of Agriculture Sciences [IAS], etc. and it is spread over four campuses.

Institute of Technical Education & Research Eligibility Criteria:

Course	Eligibility
B.Tech	Candidate should have completed 12th in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject or equivalent with 45%. 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC category. Admission will be based on JEE Main score.
M.Tech	Candidate should have completed B.Tech or equivalent with 50%. Admission will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT or GATE score. 45% for reserved category.
M.Sc	Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 50% marks are eligible to apply for this course. 45% for SC/ ST/ OBC category.
MCA	Must have 3 year Bachelor degree from any recognized university with at least 50% of marks. Must have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or in Graduation. Candidates who have Business Mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible. 5% relaxation for reserved category.
MCA [lateral entry]	The candidate who have BCA, B.Sc in Information Technology, and B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or Graduation level are eligible for this course. Should have 50% marks. 45% for reserved category.
Ph.D	The candidate who has a valid score card of UGC NET/ UGC  CSIR NET [including JRF]/ ICMR/ GATE/ GPAT/ SLET are eligible to apply for this course.
